Dave Hackett joins visionSynergy, an international mission networking ministry

VisionSynergy announces the Rev. David Hackett is joining its staff as associate director beginning May 1st.

Hackett has worked with Presbyterian Frontier Fellowship for the last twelve years and is a clergy member of Seattle Presbytery (Presbyterian Church USA). VisionSynergy, based in Edmonds, Wash., is a networking strategy ministry dedicated to helping churches and mission organizations collaborate and network to maximize their potential impact for the global Church.

"We are thrilled that Dave will bring his skills to the work of helping the local/global Church work together in Kingdom collaboration," says Phill Butler, director of visionSynergy. "Dave’s frontier mission and pastoral background and theological frame of reference make him an invaluable addition to our team. "He will enhance the reach and connectivity of visionSynergy with the local/global Church and with international networks. His expertise in communications will be of special value to visionSynergy as we serve as a ‘virtual’ resource to so many in this country and around the world."

VisionSynergy is in dialogue and actively working with groups such as the Lausanne Movement, the International Orality Network, Fuller Theological Seminary, Christianity Today and many others in various new initiatives on missional networking, Hackett says. "Networks are what it takes to reach cultures and other groups who don't know about the gospel, he adds. "VisionSynergy will have, I believe, a crucial role in hewing paths of collaboration within the global body of Christ. I see this as a natural follow-up to my productive work with Presbyterian Frontier Fellowship."

From a letter by Rev. Greg Roth, PFF board chair: "...It is fitting for Dave to accept this sort of challenge... he has been fiercely loyal to our church in his role of Associate Director for Denomination Relations... In the years of Dave's leadership in PFF he was instrumental in pushing us to use the tools of technology to advance study and support for unreached peoples. His teamwork with our staff and board broadened our networks of Presbyterian congregations. We will miss his many gifts."

Hackett will continue his Frontier Blog in his new ministry with visionSynergy. Additional resources will be located at www.powerofconnecting.net, an international networking collaboration Website powered by visionSynergy.
